As a Senior Experience Architect, you’ll be a leading force in our Design Practice. That puts you at the forefront of all types of experiences – from digital to analog and for brands from B2B to luxury - and on teams that would collaborate in visual design, strategy, and technology in an iterative fashion. This is a place where we build solutions by building on each other’s education and experience, regardless of title.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will gather stakeholder and user needs, plan solutions, and define the vision for experiences in content marketing, service design and/or retail innovation.
  • You will lead competitive assessments, heuristic reviews, and contextual inquiries and will synthesize findings from analytics to effectively support a vision or strategy.
  • You’ll help guide the team by creating journey maps, ideation sketches, wireframes, site maps, and prototypes.
  • You will produce compelling diagrammatic visualizations to communicate recommendations to the right party at the right time for the right price (okay, that last one was just a guess).
  • User testing; as in conducting, designing, and/or advising on both testing and findings to inform additional iterations of the experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideally you have…

  • 4+ years of UX research and design experience
  • An M.S. in HCI, UX, interaction design, human factors or industrial design is preferred but not essential
  • Experience designing for and with large enterprises—this is non-negotiable
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment and on Agile projects—this is, wink wink, strongly preferred
  • Experience defining and designing complex and dynamic experiences across multiple channels and devices (mobile, tablet, web) and, ideally, physical environments/experiences
  • The ability to come up with big ideas, as well as the ability to define them down to the interaction level with appropriate detail
  • The know-how to preemptively identify problems and propose solutions
  • The savvy to know when to comfortably lead or to follow depending on the project or context
  • The ability to advocate design choices based on clear strategy or heuristic principles
  • A confident and comprehensive but laid-back collaboration style (in other words, you’re cool, man, you’re cool.)
  • A commitment to positive and productive relationships, whether that’s with clients, team members, peers, or managers (see: being cool above)
  • Flexibility to handle multiple projects and re-prioritizations
  • Self-motivation, so you can work independently in team environments
  • The ability to lead both smaller projects or sizeable components of large-scale projects
  • Deep experience with design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, InVision, Axure, Adobe InDesign, or Omnigraffle
  • Passion for experience design and the desire to grow and work with a team of fellow super-nice, super-talented people.
