A little bit about the VSA Summer AtHometernship Program: If you’re looking for another bullet point on your resume, look elsewhere. At VSA, like much of what we do, we take our internship program seriously. This means our interns work on “real work,” with real meetings, deadlines, and business challenges from our brands and clients. This is the education you won’t get in a classroom. Consider it career practice, with the freedom to learn, make mistakes, refine, question and tag along. You’ll work with an individual manager and a group of mentors in an outstanding cross-disciplinary environment focused on brand, communications, marketing, and digital. As part of the larger program, you’ll take part in intern meetings, team outings, activities, and initiatives (can you say networking?). And yes, it’s paid, with an hourly rate, for 40 hours/week, on-site. It starts June 7th. Bet you can’t wait for summer.

The Brand Strategy Intern is responsible for applying analytics to support the development and optimization of marketing channels.

  • Work independently and collaboratively with the strategy team to understand a client’s business in the context of their sector, customer dynamics, and market dynamics.
  • Participate in qualitative and quantitative research programs, conducting analysis to uncover insights for brand development.
  • Support the creation of compelling presentations that reinforce VSA as a strategic voice for clients.
  • Stay updated with projects and deadlines for all projects.
  • Understand the fields and professional areas in which VSA works.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.


  • Junior or Senior level in an accredited University studying business, marketing, or related field. Pursuing a Master’s Degree in a related field or MBA is a plus.
  • Accumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Experience within a digital, marketing-communications, or branding agency, or within a management consultancy.
  • Prior experience with Excel, basic SQL, and statistical analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a right-brain/left-brain work environment.
  • Ability to think analytically, critically, and creatively to develop simple solutions to sophisticated problems.
  • Familiarity with digital and traditional media.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with B2B brands.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across marketing subject areas, including Strategy and Creative.
  • A passion for learning and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to interact at all levels of the company and with external parties in a professional manner maintaining effective communication, both written and spoken.
  • Adept at preemptively identifying problems and devising solutions.
  • Ability to be versatile and balance multiple projects and re-prioritizations.
  • Ability to maintain self-motivation and to work independently in team environments.
