Every marketing channel is more crowded than ever before. The brands that break through aren‘t necessarily those with the biggest budgets; they‘re the ones with the sharpest points of view. We help you define and sharpen yours—and build systems, campaigns and experiences that set you apart.
We use in-depth competitive landscape reviews, proprietary qualitative and quantitative research methods, and hands-on work sessions with your team to define and sharpen your point of view and position you for growth.
Strategic clarity for brands that need to break through. Our brand strategy work defines the positioning, value proposition and narrative that help brands compete with confidence. By aligning your business goals with a sharp, market-facing point of view, your teams can speak with conviction and convert users more effectively.
A clearer view of who matters most—and why. Audience segmentation helps brands focus on the groups with the greatest strategic value. We identify what each audience needs and wants, where your brand has the most opportunity to grow, and what it has to do to get there.
Insight that gives creative a real job to do. Research helps us get past assumptions and into what actually matters to your audience. Using VSA‘s proprietary Promise to Performance® approach, we help you prioritize the most important audience needs and mindsets to align on the brand promises that you can credibly deliver to support those needs. Additionally, this helps you benchmark brand performance so you can measure growth over time.

Sappi was a global powerhouse with a myriad of product offerings and geographic strongholds, but it lacked a cohesive story and business strategy. VSA helped Sappi unite its disparate business entities into “One Sappi” with a global rebrand and a category-shifting reimagination of its purpose.
We build the foundations that make brands distinct and memorable—from visual and verbal identity systems to the guidelines that help scale them and enable your brand to show up in a clear, compelling way across every touchpoint.
A visual system people can recognize—and remember. We create identity systems that express who you are with distinction and character, and then scale across channels, teams and relevant touchpoints. Our work supports brand recognition and recall, carrying your brand forward.
The structure that keeps your brand clear as it grows. Brand guidelines turn strategy and design into something teams can actually use. We create systems that make it easier to apply the brand consistently across formats, partners and channels without flattening it into something generic.
In an age of AI sameness, we give brands a recognizably human tone of voice—crafted by actual humans. We also build messaging and content frameworks that give your team a foundation they can use across marketing, digital experiences and other day-to-day touchpoints.

BNY is a global financial services company trusted to manage, move and protect over a third of the world’s assets. As it approached its 240th anniversary, it partnered with VSA to launch a new brand identity and logo that reflects who BNY is today and where it is going.
We create campaigns that build brands, break through and shatter benchmarks. By fully integrating creative, media planning and buying, and production, we deliver world-class craft and tangible business results.
Campaigns built to move people—and move your business. We believe in bold simplicity: campaign creative that has a clear, compelling point of view, delivered in an unexpected, memorable way. Every campaign we develop is rooted in human insight and shaped for cultural relevance, so the work breaks through and helps build your brand for the long term.
Media strategy that works with the idea, not after it. Media planning and buying should strengthen your brand‘s big idea, not just distribute it. We build media strategies around audience, context and business goals so campaigns show up in the right places, at the right moments, and ready to convince and convert new audiences.
Presence with a point of view. Social and influencer work needs to feel native to the channel and true to your brand. We create programs that help brands engage with more relevance, partner with the right voices, and build connections in spaces where attention is already hard won.
World-class craft, delivered on time and on budget. High-quality production is the difference between a great idea on paper and exceptional results in the real world. With a skilled in-house team and deep relationships across video, print and experiential production, everything we create is built to the highest standard of craft—and delivered on time and on budget.

All institutional investors want access to great information—and lots of it. But facts without context are useless. To illustrate that point—and underscore FactSet’s curated data and personalizable platform—we launched “Not Just the Facts,” a comedic campaign that has dramatically raised brand awareness, driven MQLs, and substantially increased awareness and consideration.
We design digital and internal experiences that make the brand more useful, more felt and more effective—from websites to employee engagement. This is where brand promise meets brand performance, turning touchpoints into stronger connection and action.
Digital experiences that make the brand work harder. Website design is one of the clearest expressions of whether a brand can deliver on what it promises. We design sites that bring storytelling and utility together so users can navigate easily, find what matters and take action.
Internal alignment with external impact. When employees are clear on your purpose and their role in it, your brand shows up more credibly everywhere else. We create employee engagement programs and experiences that turn brand strategy into something everyone inside the organization can understand, believe and steward.

When Google needed help persuading customers to make the switch from iPhone to Pixel, we targeted the people with direct influence over the sale: retail employees. VSA named and designed the Ph.G program—including its logo—to creatively engage, educate and motivate retail sales associates (RSAs) in big-box stores to instill brand love for Google and in turn evangelize Google hardware to their customers.
